Herdade Tinto E Branco

Herdade Tinto e Branco

Herdade Tinto e Branco is an 80 hectares vineyard located in one of the most beautiful and stunning wine regions in Europe. The historic property was originally owned by Count José Luís D‘Andrade de Vasconcelos e Sousa and was utilized for cattle farming. As of 2009, previous owner João Xabregas began to realize his vision of capturing the picturesque vastness, beautiful landscape and uniqueness of the Alentejo terroir in fine wines and high-quality olive oil on about 30 hectares of fallow land. Today, grapes such as Alvarinho, Antão Vaz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec or Touriga Nacional mature to perfection on the orchards. State-of-the-art technology, extensive investments and lots of passion are at the core of the new Herdade Tinto e Branco. Under new leadership since 2017, tradition now meets the future - with highest standards and great respect for the Alentejo culture. Additionally, a new design hotel with more than 10 exclusive rooms is scheduled to open at the end of 2018, blending excellent wines with authentic tourism.

Quinta do Paral

For 2018, the focus will be on the Quinta do Paral 2017 with its complex and perfectly balanced blend of Petit Verdot and the local varietal Touriga Nacional and Touriga França. After harvesting the grapes by hand, the wine is stored in French oak barrels for six month. The combination of grapes develops a harmonious aroma of violets and spicy notes.
